Operation Game Thief is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve our quality of life by intentionally engaging individuals and communities across Texas to prevent theft and destruction of our natural resources through outreach, education, and a direct confidential link to report violators.
Offer rewards up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest & conviction of natural resource crimes
Provide financial aid to the families of game wardens & park peace officers killed in the line of duty
Obtain technologically advanced equipment for game wardens, resulting in safer & more efficient operations
Outreach & educate all Texans in order to protect our natural resources and private property rights

We provide grants to the Law Enforcement Division of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to acquire technologically advanced and other equipment needed by the Game Wardens.
We provide immediate financial support of $25,000 to the families of every Game Warden and Park Police killed in the line of duty.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, a majority of our funding relies solely on the support of the public at our events. All of our event proceeds always go directly to supporting OGT and its mission.
Operation Game Thief is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose goal is to help end Texas wild poaching.
Established in 1981 as a result of laws passed by the 67th Legislature to help curtail poaching, OGT operates as a highly successful function of the law enforcement division of Texas Parks and Wildlife.
Privately funded, the program is dependent on financial support from the public through the participation of our fundraising events, memberships, merchandise, donations, sponsorships, and gifts.
